Big Freedia: Miley Cyrus Sucks at Twerking!

Late last month, Big Freedia organized an historic event in New York City, helping to break the record for most people Twerking at the same time. She got 358 people to gyrate
their booties simultaneously.
So this artist knows a thing or two about the move Miley
Cyrus has now made famous, only she has some news to
break to fans of this singer.

"It's been around for two decades," Freedia tells The
Associated Press of Twerking, shooting down the idea that
Miley somehow invented it and adding that it originated in
New Orleans. "It's the culture there, it's history there."
Asked about Miley's infamous MTV VMA performance,
Big Freedia scoffed.
She said she's been the one doing this move for the last
three years, "converting one twerker at a time all around the
world," and that Cyrus barely even qualifies as a twerker.
"She really didn't twerk, you know," this dancer says. "She
attempted to twerk, but she didn't really twerk properly and
so people were a confused and little baffled about the dance
moves that she did do."
Whoa there! Fighting words! What is the correct way to
twerk? Explains Freedia:
"You have to use your body in the upright position, you can
use your knees for support and that's the only way you can
twerk."
