Fat attack: Pakistan sacks 250 pot-bellied and obese policemen
The Police authority in Punjab, Pakistan, has sacked 250 pot-bellied and fat officers from the Police Force.
This sack order was given by the Inspector General of Police, Habibur Rehman, who initiated an operation-measure-your-waistline exercise on 175, 000 of its men.
All men considered overweight were advised to go easy on the burger and reduce their weight to a required standard within a stipulated time.“The Inspector General ordered 175,000 personnel not to allow their waistlines to exceed 38 inches and reduce their weight by July 7,” The Express Tribune, a Pakistani paper, reported. The police authorities says it intends to recruit slimmer officers to replace the men and women who tipped the scales. An extended period of grace would, however, be given to officers who have made efforts to reduce their girth by 2-4 inches. We don’t expect the Nigerian IGP to give such self-implicating orders any time soon
